Briefing for Clubs
Clubs will work alone or in small groups of 2 or 3 and
ideally with other local community groups. Clubs will set up
their own project management committee.
PLEASE register your proposed litter-pick through the
dedicated Rotary registration as SOON AS POSSIBLE.
Insurance, Rotary insurance will cover your Club and any
other volunteers working alongside your Club, subject to
written records of all collectors being kept.
Data collection: You will be asked to submit basic
collection information, date, location, number of collectors
and bags filled, and encouraged to take part in a more
detailed study along a shorter section of your chosen
waterway. This data will become a part of an EU scientific
study. This is a great opportunity for schools, youth groups,
like the Sea Cadets and other environmental groups.
