What were the
objectives of the
clean-up
To reduce the amount of plastic (and other)
debris in the River Thames and tributaries
in District 1090 .
To raise awareness of the issues of plastic
micro plastic waste finding its way into the
water table / rivers and oceans.
To work with the local community and
partner with other interested environmental
groups - remember many of these groups
already have programmes in place - we
should try to complement their activities.
To respect the river users and the wildlife
To raise awareness of Rotary as a
responsible environmental activist.
To encourage / recruit new members /
volunteers / friends.
