CRIME DESTROYS LIVES.
SO DOES THE FEAR OF CRIME
Labour believes that feeling secure is the bedrock on which opportunities
are built, communities can thrive, and local economies can prosper.
This has an impact on working people, communities and local businesses,
damaging social cohesion and local economies.
Tacking it is an issue of social justice, with this who are vulnerable
or on low incomes, being much less likely to feel safe or secure.
Labour’s national mission to Make Britain’s Streets
Safe will provide a framework for my approach
to strengthen policing and tackle crime here in
Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland.
RORY PALMER
This mission recognises that decision making needs
to be long-term and that there are deep-rooted,
complex challenges to confront.
