Juliana’s Information
Safety Deposit Box
Although Saba is considered one of the safest places in the world, we realize that
you may feel more comfortable storing your personal belongings in a safe place
until your departure. Juliana’s has a safety deposit box at the Front Desk where you
may store your personal belongings at no charge. Stop by our Front Desk
regarding this service.
Taxes and Tipping
Hotel: The government room tax of 5% and a 10% service charge is
automatically added to your bill.
Other bars & restaurants: At some restaurants a service charge of 10% to 18% is
automatically added to your bill. If not then a tip of 10% to 15% is customary.
If you are more than satisfied with the service you received, then an additional tip
is always appreciated.
(Tropics Café does NOT charge a service charge on any of your food/drink bills,
it is customary to tip at your own discretion)
Housekeeping: It is customary to tip housekeeping staff $3.00 per day.
Taxi: It is customary to tip.
Telephone
As you may have noticed there are no telephones located in your room. You are
most welcome to use the phone at the Front Desk for local calls, which are free
of charge.

Television
Your television is a smart internet-based device with various apps to access your
viewing preferences.
Toilets
In order to avoid problems with plumbing that could make your stay less
pleasurable, we kindly ask you to dispose of all foreign materials in the wastebasket
provided.
Wake up Call
Since phones are not available in your room, we can either provide you with an
alarm clock in order to wake you up, or we can knock on your door at the desired
time.
