The spiral link stick is designed to isolate rope lines, hoists and rope blocks. It is used
to provide insulation between energized conductors and pulling devices which might
be attached to a different potential. One piece 1= O.D. fiberglass stick Easy to apply,
can be installed with hot line tools by use of the attached lifting eye. Spiral hook is

Chance Spiral Link Sticks
Are used in lieu of a strain link stick in close places where the lineman cannot
safely install a strain link stick by hand. A lifting eye on the head ferrule enables the
lineman to guide the Spiral Link Stick to the conductor with a hotstick. The pole of the
Spiral Link Stick is made of 1-1/4" Epoxiglas®. Ferrule castings are of heat-treated
aluminum alloy; spiral hook and butt ring of galvanized steel. 1510.5 Kcmil ACSR
maximum conductor size. Tested per OSHA & ASTM F711.

Chance Hoist Link Sticks
phone: 800.438.0671
Are designed to permit hot-line work with a nylon-strap ratchet hoist. A properly
applied link stick insulates the hoist from an energized conductor. The hoist link stick
is a 1-1/4"-diameter Epoxiglas® pole with a steel safety latch hook, hot stick rings
on one end and a butt swivel on the other. To apply the link stick, attach the hook
of the stick to a wire grip using the hotstick eye to operate the hook. Complete the
application by connecting the nylon-strap hoist to the link stick butt swivel and to a
pole or crossarm. Rated working load: 4,000 lb.
