METHODS OF BIDDING
LIMIT BIDDING
OPENING BIDS
When placing a limit on the amount you wish to “win,” restrict your bids
to no more than twice the amount of your total limit. For example, if you
set a limit of $500, the total amount of your bids should not exceed
$1,000. If you mail your bidsheet, please signify your limit, or if you
email or use the Internet, also please signify your limit.
The “Opening Bid” you see on our site or SAN, is one increment above
the second highest bid. If you see that the opening bid is higher than
your bid, you will need to raise your bid. If the opening bid is lower than
your bid, you are most likely the high bidder.
UPDATES ON YOUR BIDS
“OR” BIDDING
You will receive a confirmation that we have received your bids when
bidding on SAN or shpauctions.com. If we have a valid email on file,
you will receive updates on where your bids stand.
You may bid on two or more lots, or more, within reason. Remember
that you will only win ONE of the lots. Specify the lots by writing “or”
between the lot numbers for which you are placing bids. The system
picks the lot you are most likely to “win”.
