SAPICS members were able to experience firsthand the processes around the developing and
marketing of this high-quality range of skincare
products.
AEROSWIFT
Site Visit – Gauteng
Aeroswift welcomed SAPICS members to view the
Aeroswift 3D printer which is the largest 3D printer
in the world.
PICK N PAY
Site Visit – Gauteng
SAPICS members were fortunate to access this
impressive distribution centre, which is the largest
across Southern Africa.
IMPERIAL
Site Visit – Gauteng
SAPICS members joined a guided tour of
the Imperial Health Sciences facility which
provides warehousing and distribution of
pharmaceuticals and other health care
products to people across South Africa.

K-WAY
Presentation – KwaZulu Natal
Site Visit – Cape Town
SAPICS members had the opportunity
to attend a guided tour of the K-Way
sportswear and outdoor clothing
manufacturer and were shown that SA
factories can compete successfully
with the rest of the world.
A vital tool to help you manage risk
in logistics with Craig Leppan.
Peter Lamb of Norton Rose Fulbright
provided SAPICS members with an
overview of risk management best
practice in logistics and highlighted
the modern risks posed by cyber-crime
and breach of cyber security.
GINTY CHALK
Presentation – KwaZulu Natal
Pushing the Boundaries of Problem Solving in Supply
Chain. Ginty Chalk of BMGI showed SAPICS members how to
do things differently in an ever-changing business landscape.
DRONESCAN
Presentation – Gauteng
SAPICS members enjoyed the opportunity to learn more about
drones being used to perform barcoding and RFID scanning in
warehouses.
BRAIN SASSY
Workshop – Cape Town
With Karen Livey. International speaker from Australia,
Karen Livey shared this workshop which has been
specifically designed for women working in a male dominated
environment who want to take charge of their career direction
which SAPICS members thoroughly enjoyed.

NISSAN
Site Visit – Gauteng
Site Visit – Gauteng
SAPICS members were able to visit the
world class facility of the largest private
aerospace company in South Africa.
Nissan South Africa showcased the
world-class manufacturing facility
in Rosslyn to SAPICS members and
shared the history of the company.
