FALLS PHOENIX
The Phoenix mascot logo was created to clearly identify the
Phoenix as the brand ambassador for Menomonee Falls High
School (MFHS). In addition to awareness, interaction and
engagement, the Phoenix mascot logo will connect with
people, creating enthusiasm and energy and complement the
traditional feathered F as a boost to the overall SDMF brand.
The district uses the feathered F along with logos and mascots
for the four elementary schools, North Middle School, and
Menomonee Falls High School to ensure a consistent brand
across the district while allowing for individual school pride.
The Phoenix is a great addition to our overall owned media
and branding.
Sara Booher, a MFHS senior who led the student mascot committee, noted that the Phoenix
mascot is consistent with the school’s core values of excellence, pride, and community.
“Menomonee Falls Phoenix have pride for their school community,“ Booher said. “The Phoenix
embodies our commitment for students to be strong, rise up and be committed to success. It
signifies our dedication to learning in the classroom and our passion to serve the community of
Menomonee Falls and beyond...on the field, in the gym, on the court, in the band room, on the
slopes, in the community and in the classroom.”
After the school board voted in December 2019 to retire the Indian mascot/image for MFHS, a
student-led committee involving students in grades 6-12 worked together to develop a new mascot
for the high school. The student committee met first on January 31 and generated a list of 30
potential nicknames, which they narrowed down to seven.
MFHS Senior Class Officers
created a video to reveal the
new Phoenix mascot logo.
