In the summer, my favourite place is Plemont. Walking
on the beach, exploring the caves, watching the waves and
waiting to capture the sunset, there’s something about
it that is so magical and peaceful. You can switch off
from your busy life and reconnect with nature. Plemont
constantly reminds me why I love Jersey.

In the autumn though, I love to explore St Catherine’s
Woods with my family. It has so much to offer – lovely
green paths, little streams with stepping stones and if you’re
lucky you might see red squirrels.
Favourite Activity?
If the sun is shining on my day off, you will most likely
find me at the Watersplash Beach Bar & Diner. Enjoying
the sunshine, listening to the music playing, soaking up the
good vibes with a drink in hand, and appreciating the view
until the sun sinks into the sea … Bliss!

As a nature lover, I love discovering the unspoilt beauty
of Jersey’s stunning landscape by cycling. It’s a unique
way to see the Island and there are so many beautiful, and
sometimes challenging, routes that are pure joy. The best
way to end a day’s adventures is with a trip to your local
pub for dinner.

That’s a tricky one but my favourite Island location has to
be the stretch of coastline from Green Island heading east
to La Rocque Harbour. I love the ever-changing scenery. On
a high tide, the water laps (or crashes) against the sea wall
whereas at low tide you can walk up to two miles out to sea
on what can only be described as a moonscape.

A fantastic way to re-energise whilst taking in breathtaking views is by paddling around the Island in a Kayak.
Jersey has such a diverse coastline so, whether it be
exploring the caves on the north coast from Bouley Bay,
meandering through the rocks on the south coast, or
finding the “secret beach” by Grève de Lecq, it’s a sure way
to find some “me time”. But make sure you check the tides
before you leave!
Top Tip
Watch a Jersey sunrise! We always talk about sunsets, but
the coves and bays of the east coast make the perfect places
to see the splendour of the sunrise. With the added detail
of the French coast resting on the horizon, it’s mesmerising.
The end of St Catherine’s Breakwater is a great place to
watch and you might even see a dolphin or two.

Top Tip
If you like walking, make sure you pack your hiking boots.
And check the tide times if you’re headed to the beach; the
sea rises quickly and if you’re not careful you might be cut
off from the land.

It has to be St Brelade’s Bay for the perfect beach day. The
sun shining as you sip on a drink, chill out and enjoy the
view, before taking a dip in the sea to cool off. I love going
for a short walk along here and seeing the stunning views
from the top of the hill. St Brelade’s Bay is home to an
array of water sports as well. I’ve been dragged behind a
speedboat on pretty much every inflatable, from a banana
boat, to a Ringo, to an armchair. It’s also where I tried
stand up paddle boarding. I won’t say that practice has
made perfect, but I can stand up and paddle now. That’s the
minimum requirement to say you’ve done it, right?
Cycling is and always will be my favourite activity in
Jersey. It’s great to get out along the green lanes and coast
roads, and every turn brings a stunning view which I’m
sure I haven’t seen before. This island, only 9-by-5 miles,
always seems so much bigger on two wheels. It’s a great
combination of being out in nature and keeping fit. If you
see me pulled up somewhere, I’m not being lazy – promise!
No doubt, I will be taking photos of the gorgeous views or
catching my breath before the next hill.
Top Tip
Keep an open mind and ask locals what they recommend.
Each person will no doubt tell you something new and
different. Jersey has an array of activities and attractions
depending on the season. Also, don’t forget your camera!
Favourite Activity?
This one is difficult. I’ve enjoyed exploring the island
enormously. The Flowrider at the Merton Aquadome is
great fun and I love the chocolate, cider and wine tours
at La Mare Vineyard. The aerial trekking and the zip wire
at Valley Adventure Centre are brilliant too. You only
want one? Wait, I’ve got it … visiting the orangutans at
Jersey Zoo. I could watch them all day, they are so funny
and fascinating.
Top Tip
Plan your stay. Find out what Jersey has to offer before you
arrive and book the activities you really want to do. With
everything from Seafaris to skydiving, lots of the activities
have schedules so it’s worth checking ahead of time to make
sure you don’t miss out. Also, look at visitor attraction
passes, such as the Jersey Heritage Pass, as they can save you
money if you are visiting multiple attractions.
