than 35 films were screened to two full houses of movie theater
patrons.
Vocal Charge, the Upper School Choir, held a fall concert on
Oct. 26, 2022, featuring songs from Broadway shows. The
choir was accompanied by piano, cello/guitar and drums.
Vocal Charge joined Shelton Singers (the Middle School Choir)
and Honor Choir (fourth-fifth grade) to perform their holiday
concert on Dec. 6 in the Black Box Theatre.
Band and Drumline
students continue to
enjoy the spacious
Schmidt Family
Band Hall, where
they rehearse for
performances at pep rallies, sports
games and Grandparents’ Day. Their
fall concert, featuring more than 100
band students, was performed on
Dec. 1 in the large gym. The spring
band concert was held in late April
and again showcased more than
130 band students in fourth through
twelfth grades.
Middle School drama and choir
classes held performances at the end
of each quarter. More than 24 second-quarter drama and choir
students combined to perform the musical “Matilda, Jr.” to two
sell-out audiences.
Lower School art, music and drama ended each rotation with
a video sent to parents highlighting the students’ work. Lower
School Fine Arts students combined to perform the Lower
School “Spectacular” in April 2023. The performances included
songs, dance and comedy skits by our youngest Fine Arts
students.
Spring choir concerts were held in late April-early May of
2023. Vocal Charge presented a concert of Disney-themed
songs with singers in costume for each number. Shelton
Singers and Honor Choir also held spring concerts with
crowd-pleasing vocal programs.
