How long have you worked at Shelton?
“I started in January of 2016.”
What are your academic qualifications?
“I graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a B.S.
in Education, then went to Southwest Texas State University
(currently named Texas State University) to earn my M.Ed.”
What do you like about your job?
“I love that I get to work with kids every single day, guide them
through the college application process and spend time with
them as they transition to young adulthood.”
What do you like about working at Shelton?
“I like working with our students. They are appreciative of my
help and tell me so every single day!”
Which of your Shelton colleagues do you admire and why?
“I admire each and every one of our Upper School teachers.
I teach college preparation and planning classes to all of the
ninth, tenth and eleventh grade classes. Every class period
requires patience, encouragement, reinforcement, repetition
and constant checking for understanding. Our teachers show
up every day, every class period ready to teach their students
and provide support to every single one of their students.”
What’s a fun fact about you?
“My husband, Tobin, and I have worked together in the same
school for the past 20 years. He currently teaches Psychology
and Honors World Geography in the Upper School.”

“I have worked fulltime at Shelton for 19
years.”
What are your academic qualifications?
“Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, Therapy Level SEE Teacher,
Montessori trained.”
What do you like about your job?
“I most enjoy connecting with students and teachers.”
What do you like about working at Shelton?
“I like watching students on their educational journey as they
grow, learn and excel in both academics and extracurricular
activities.”
What is one of your favorite memories about working at
Shelton?
“During my first year, I was head coach of the high school
Cross Country team. The boys’ team took third at state and the
girls’ team came in fifth.”
Which of your Shelton colleagues do you admire and why?
“I’ve had the pleasure of working closely with Amy Cushner
over the years when I was in Upper Elementary. She has been
an amazing coach and mentor to me in all of my many roles at
Shelton.”
What’s a fun fact about you?
“During the summers of my college years, I worked in East
Texas as a rodeo clown at rodeos!”

How long have you worked at Shelton?
“Nine months.”
What are your academic qualifications?
“I am a Licensed Specialist in School
Psychology (LSSP) and a Nationally Certified School
Psychologist (NCSP). I attended Abilene Christian University,
where I received my Bachelor’s in Psychology in 2009 and my
Specialist in School Psychology degree in 2012.”
What do you like about your job?
“I love that I am in one of those rare educational leadership
roles that allows me to continue working directly with students.
I couldn’t possibly understate the joy and pride I feel working
with my staff. I also enjoy the ability and opportunity to get to
know and partner with all members of our community, across
all four divisions.”
What do you like about working at Shelton?
“The resources and support that Shelton is able to provide
faculty, staff and families is truly out of this world. And,
knowing that Shelton is such a pioneer and influential leader in
our community and field, it truly fills me with such pride to say
I work here.”
What is one of your favorite memories about working at
Shelton?
“My favorite memory so far has been the overwhelming
support I’ve received from the community. Every day I walk
into these doors, I do so with a happy heart.”
Which of your Shelton colleagues do you admire?
“Director of Admission Meghan Miller is the best person on
the planet! She is kind, knowledgeable, beyond helpful, keeps
a smile on her face and is always so fashionable! She has been
instrumental in helping me transition into this position.”
What’s a fun fact about you?
“I played basketball in college and have continued to play off
and on in local adult recreation leagues. Basketball is a huge
part of my life, whether I am working the clock, keeping the
books, coaching a Special Olympics team or attending a local
college/pro game. When basketball is involved, I am happy!”
