Shelton Parents’ Association Raised Money at the 2023 Stampede Auction
The Shelton School Parents’ Association (SPA) raised money
at the 2023 Stampede benefit auction on Friday, March 31,
at the Frontiers of Flight Museum. Attendees enjoyed the
evening with Shelton’s “Summer Beach Party” as a theme.
The evening included a cocktail reception, seated dinner, live
and big-board auctions and musical entertainment by DeeJay
Shelly.
Auction proceeds go toward improving academics,
curriculum programs, arts, athletics, technology, professional
development for teachers, our wellness program, security
enhancements and tuition assistance. Proceeds also go to the
Shelton Endowment Fund and the Shelton Scholarship Fund.
The 2023 Stampede benefit co-chairs were Kari Grzych and
Heather Shell. Gina Rangel Pena and JoAnna Sudbeck are
co-presidents of the 2022-2023 Shelton Parents’ Association,
which sponsored the event. Shelly Lloyd is Shelton’s Director

SHELTON SCHOOL
Executive Director Suzanne
Stell thanked the parents,
volunteers, sponsors and
staff who helped make the
Stampede a success. “We’re
here this evening for our
students, who inspire us
every single day,” she said.
“There is no school with
more dedicated parents
than Shelton, and we thank
you for that. Our Shelton Parents’ Association knocks it out of
the park every single year.”
Shelton Board member Chase Evans welcomed attendees. Keith
Conlon, a member of Shelton’s Board who attended Shelton for
middle school beginning in 1995 and is president of Allie Beth
Allman & Associates, helped kick off the Stampede. He credits
his years at Shelton for his success in college and life. “My
beloved grandmother used to say that the Shelton School saved
my life,” he said. “It truly did save my life and I’m honored to be
on the Board.”
