Elementary Course Curriculums
These rigorous courses offer an in-depth study of Elementary Montessori (ages 6-12).
These comprehensive courses include lectures, demonstrations, classroom observations,
small group projects, manual and material creation, and research.
Elementary I: 6-9 Years of Age
This course lays the foundation for working with elementary children in a Montessori
environment, placing the academic emphasis on lessons and practices appropriate to
children ages 6-9. This is a MACTE accredited, AMS affiliated Course.
Coursework: 374 Hours
Practicum: 1,080 Hours
(Includes 22 Self-Paced Study Hours)
A nine-month practicum provides the
adult learner with the opportunity to
practice the Montessori philosophy and
lessons under the guidance of an
experienced instructor/mentor at a school
of your choice, which is approved by SMT.
Research and observation skills are honed
during a yearlong case study of three
students.
The Hybrid Breakdown:
Synchronous: 116 Hours
Adult Learners attend Zoom sessions with
the instructor.
Asynchronous: 84 Hours
Adult Learners work through the Canvas
modules independently.
Tuition: $8,000
$500 deposit due before the first day
of class.
The deposit must be paid in order to
attend the first day of class. There is a
payment plan of $500/per month
available for the remaining balance.
