Sequential English Education (SEE)
SEE is a comprehensive, multisensory remediation program for learners
with dyslexia and related disorders. SEE teaches the patterns of the
English language, using a word family approach for single and multisyllable word building. Multiple strategies support in-depth analysis of
decoding, comprehension, spelling, grammar and written expression.
SEE is designed to improve oral language, phonological awareness,
processing speed, working memory and visual-motor skills. This
sequential, structured, pattern-based program benefits learners ages 5
to adults. SEE is an effective language therapy approach in a traditional,
Montessori, and/or therapeutic setting. SEE was created and authored
by Dr. Joyce Pickering.
In addition, SEE has an Early Literacy Intervention Program.
See page 19 for details.
Instructor Training is available by invitation.
Contact the SEE course director for more
