The Economics curriculum shows students the big picture of economic
principles, while preparing them to live in a world where people work, buy,
sell, and actively participate as citizens who make economic choices. Critical
thinking and problem solving skills that students will need for making economic
decisions are stressed.

Required
This course is a study of political theories and governmental structures, with
emphasis placed on those of the United States. Students also study U.S. foreign
policy and its effect on international relations. The course prepares students to
become responsible and well-informed citizens.

This one-semester course is an interdisciplinary survey of cultures focusing
on the philosophical and aesthetic factors (art, music, etc.) in human values
with an emphasis on the historical development of the individual and society
and the need to create, as well as the aesthetic and intellectual works through
which cultures express their values and aspirations. This course focuses on the
major periods of history including the Ancient World, Middle Ages, Renaissance,
Baroque, Romantic, and Modern/Post Modern periods.
