Katie Glaskin
Katie Glaskin is a Western Australian painter, printmaker, and anthropologist. Her work has strong environmental themes, which she explores
in painting, printmaking and publications. Much of Katie’s recent work has focussed on extinctions of various kinds, beginning with her first solo
exhibition in 2018, Scent of a Falling Dark, until the present. In 2022, her work was selected for inclusion in Megalo Print Studio’s curated online
exhibition showcasing contemporary international artists working with relief printmaking. She has lived and worked in many parts of Australia as
well as in India, Nepal, Israel and Japan. She now works in a studio at Goolugatup Heathcote and is a member of the Swan River Print Studio,
located in the same precinct. Katie’s paintings and prints have found their way into private collections in Australia, Canada, France, Finland,
New Zealand and Indonesia, and her prints have been collected by the University of Western Australia and by the City of Melville for their Art
