Kati Thamo
“Born in 1956, I have lived in WA for most of my life, growing up in suburban
Perth and then moving to the far south coast of the state in 1980. I received a
BA of Visual Arts in 1998 at Edith Cowan University and Honours in printmaking
at the Hobart School of Art in 2001. Over the years I have taught at both TAFE
and University level, but now work predominantly as a printmaker from my studio
in Albany. I work across a range of print media, including etchings, linocuts and
collagraphs, although I also incorporate textile, installation and sculptural work
in my overall practice. My prints have been exhibited nationally in both solo and
group exhibitions and are held in public and private collections across Australia
and overseas.”
