Ross Potter
Ross Potter is a Kamilaroi man living in Fremantle/Whadjuk Noongar Boodjar who works with graphite and pencil to produce highly
detailed representations of the natural world. Through magnifying
microscopic features, Ross brings the abstractions of reality to our
attention, while telling compelling stories of everyday life. Natural
decay is a recurring theme in his work. His subjects are often in a
state of deterioration, questioning our relationship with nature and
the environment.

Monique Tippett
The works of Monique Tippett are an exploration of her relationship
with the natural environment of Western Australia, specifically the
forest landscape that surrounds her home near Dwellingup in the
Peel region. The forests of this area are an inestimably valuable, thin belt of undiscovered biodiversity, part of one of only 35
worldwide biodiversity hotspots. Through her work Monique strives
to portray its scale, its light, texture and beauty which stand as a
record of her insight and relationship with this unique environment.
Each work spans the gap between sculpture and painting. The
works are enigmatic, their abstraction drawing contemplation.
Monique is an established, leading Western Australian artist with a
prolific studio practice and a catalogue of public artworks in Perth,
the Wheatbelt and the southwest. Her most recent commission
hangs in the foyer of the West Australian Parliament House, as
part of her tenure as Parliamentary Artist in Residence in 2019. Her
work is held in many private and public collections nationally and
internationally.
In 2019, Monique opened Lost Eden Creative – an Artist Run Initiative in her home town of Dwellingup.
Throughout the year, the gallery shows a rolling program of solo
and group exhibitions. This includes local, south west region, Perth,
and residency artists.
