Liz Poulsen ‘86
Aidan spent Fall 2012 as an intern at Flack Family Farm
in Enosburg Falls, Vermont, a small, diversified biodynamic farm. On the farm, his duties included grazing
and milking cows, operating farm machinery, producing kim-chi and sauerkraut, and delivering products.
Aidan currentlys runs Fog Town Farm with his wife
Natasha Feeney ‘13 on Nantucket Island that they
started in 2019. The farm is located on conserved land
which is leased to grow crops for island restaurants
and grocers as well as for farmers markets and farm
stand sales. Fog Town Farm specializes in growing
salad greens, root crops, and tomatoes.
Liz spent her internship in Unionville, Pennsylvania, where she
split her time working on a beef farm and at the University of
Pennsylvania Veterinary School’s New Bolton Center hospital
for large animals. Liz lives in Charlotte, Vermont, and is a veterinarian at the Old North End Clinic in Burlington. Fun fact – Liz’s
son, Eli Barlow, is also a Sterling alum and graduated in 2019.

Kristin Schaumberg ‘92
Kristin studied under Dr. Bernd Heinrich in Dryden,
Maine, a behavioral scientist studying raven communications. During her internship she trapped, tagged,
and used telemetry equipment to locate and observe
the birds being studied. Kristin completed a Masters of
Science in Ecology, has previously worked in the Department of Ornithology at the Bronx Zoo, and is currently a volunteer at the American Museum of Natural
History in the Ornithology Department collections.
She lives on City Island, New York.
Lou partnered with the Vermont Leadership Center in East
Charleston, Vermont – now the Northwoods Stewardship Center – to gain an understanding of the balance between economics and ecosystem management, value added products,
and to learn skills in environmental education. Lou went on to
attend Nagoya University, spent two years in Paraguay to teach
composting with Japan Overseas Cooperation Volunteers, did
a stint with the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA),
and is now happily farming.
