Serene spaces start with minimal
blue light
Our natural environment has high blue light (high colour temperatures) during
the day and warmer lighting (low colour temperatures) in the morning and
evening. Blue light boosts our alertness and productivity, while it also helps
regulate our natural sleep and wake cycles. But exposure to too much blue light
in the evenings can suppress our melatonin levels and a昀昀ect how well we rest.
When you are lighting areas of relaxation – bedrooms and living rooms –
warmer colours with low blue light create a comforting environment. A colour
temperature of 2700 Kelvin (K) or lower is excellent for these spaces.
Our Sunset Dimming and Tunable White options transform general lighting
and support your natural body clock, making them great options for rooms
where mood lighting is a priority.
Sunset Dimming emulates nature’s light levels by changing to warmer colour
temperatures as the light is dimmed. For example, ZELA models dim from 3000K
to 1850K, echoing the sun going down by simply dimming the light.
Tunable White is the ultimate in lighting control for homes, o昀케ces and
restaurants, as well as spaces that encourage healing and relaxation.
O昀昀ering the broadest colour temperature range from 4000K to 1800K,
Tunable White delivers superior quality light and granular intensity control
across all colour temperatures. With a human-centric approach to lighting,
Tunable White is available in our ZELA range.
Lower CCT (K) = less blue light = improved sleep
