home. It’s called nesting! It’s NORMAL to want
to love the place that we spend most of our time
in it.
In my recent reader survey, I asked, “When it
comes to decorating your home, which of the
following do you struggle with?” The choices
were:
The fact is, creating a beautiful home for yourself
will not have a direct impact on the suffering in
the world.








But, when we are at our happiest and best, we
can do the MOST to help improve the world
around us.
I’ve recently read a book by Jen Sincero and in it
she says this,
“You denying yourself your hearts desires is not
noble.”
Her book, You Are a Badass At Making Money, is
not at all focused on home design, but the same
principles apply. Having a home that is less than
what you desire will not in any way improve the
world around you or solve any of the world’s
injustices.
Dealing with clutter
Coming up with a cohesive plan
Finding time to do it
Setting a budget
Mixing different colors and patterns
Choosing a color palette
Space planning
Determining the proper scale/size of
pieces for the room
• Making spontaneous purchases that
don’t work for the room
• Choosing artwork
• Other
