Emily Daniels was just 32 years old when she was first diagnosed with non-small
cell lung cancer (NSCLC) while 33 weeks pregnant with her second child, Brady.
Although initially terrified about her circumstances, Emily found hope after
her doctor spoke to her about biomarker testing. Thanks to that life-saving
intervention, she was able to receive targeted treatment allowing her the chance
to live a relatively normal life.
Today, Emily participates in the LUNGevity Inhale for Life: Biomarker Testing
Campaign. The social media video series encourages people diagnosed with
non-small cell lung cancer to ask their doctor about biomarker testing when they’re
diagnosed or experience a recurrence. She credits biomarker testing as an
essential part of her survival, and she hopes to inspire others to discuss it
with their care team.
