we took a shortcut through the steam-filled kitchen with owner Don Frieberg,
who is also the president of the Califon Historical Society, to get a sneak peek
at their newly acquired Portland Cutter, a quintessential one-horse open sleigh, that was
originally sold in Califon and has found its way home more than a century later.
