With Dad as their muse, Rachel and Morgan drew on their
work experiences at major fashion labels and combined it with
their own fun and creative fashion sense to curate a sporty, slightly
hipper, updated version of the classic Somerset Hills Gentleman.
It’s an ageless look that spans generations and can be mixed and
matched to be upscale or understated, but most importantly to a
lot of male shoppers, it stays true to dad Eric’s, desire for comfort,
fit, and low-maintenance.
“I had this rolled up in a ball in my luggage,” said Eric, who
was sporting an elegantly woven, Johnnie-O, queens oxford shirt
that he had recently pulled out of his carry-on after a trip to England. “You put it on and 10 minutes later, it looks like this,” he
said, showing off its wrinkle-free fit. “You don’t iron it. It
breathes, it’s like a golf shirt!”
If you’re like a lot of men, you can understand Eric’s enthusiasm. Yes, we want to look good in our clothes - but above all we
want them to be comfortable and we don’t want to work at it. If
we haven’t been rolling it up in a ball and throwing it back on
again for 10 years, we want it to at least feel that way. “I’m that
guy,” Eric admitted. “Happiness is an elastic waistband but you
can look great and still feel just as comfortable as if you’re in your
sweats. We carry these jeans,” he said, showing off a pair of Heritage, straight-leg jeans in a classic true-blue denim wash. “These
are stretchy, really nice,” he extolled. “Clothing has really come
so far.”
