In addition to being sensitive to how men want their clothes
to feel, Rachel and Morgan are also in tune with the unique shopping challenges they face and they also know how men shop.
“Yes, a lot of men have trouble matching,” said Rachel, “and
deciding ‘what do I wear to this tonight?’” she said. “But the best
thing about guys, is they’ll say, ‘I love this shirt. I want it in every
color.’ Women, I feel, only buy one of something. So, we try to
bring in a mix of brands they know, like Faherty and Johnny-O
and we try to introduce them to new brands, too.”
“And to explain to them why we picked it,” Morgan added. “It’s
handmade, it’s from the best fabric. We try to sell them on why
we fell in love with the brand. Our biggest thing is also “genuine”
sales. We don’t want someone to come in and feel like they have
to buy something. We only want people to buy things that they
truly love and feel confident in. My favorite thing about fashion,
is how it can change your overall mood. When you look good,
you feel good.”
Rachel and Morgan share a sisterly bond usually reserved for
twins. They both worked at the same high school job, they both
went to Marist College and majored in fashion, and after working
together all week, they can usually be found together on their only
day off.
“It’s fun to have each other on Mondays,” Rachel beamed. “We
still like to hang out. People are like … ‘you see each other every
day and you’re still hanging out on your day off ?’ And we’re like,
‘yeah, we just like to be together.’”
It’s a synergistic and mutually supportive relationship that capitalizes on their shared assets as well their individual strengths and
