Students in Grades 9-12 choose one of three
options for Intersession. They can enroll in an
immersive course, participate in a travel program,
or explore careers through an internship.
Immersive Courses partner groups of students
with local businesses and organizations to engage
them in experiential learning. The partnerships
and dilemmas presented in these courses build
essential skills, including critical thinking, creativity,
communication, and collaboration in developing
solutions and final products with community
partners.
Life-Changing Travel programs empower students
to step outside their comfort zones and embrace
daily challenges by utilizing creative problem-solving
skills and learning to listen to and collaborate with
others. Immersive travel programs include cultural,
historical, and service-learning options.
Engaging Internships allow students to dive deep
into a professional work environment, shadowing
professionals and building skills. Internships help
students make connections and provide insight into
future studies and career paths. They are fully
immersed in their host organization's mission and
goals and complete an applicable project for the
organization.
"Aver completing several internships at Field, I gained useful
anecdotes to use throughout my college interview process.
I now have experiences that uniquely equip me to enter college
and adulthood as someone who can properly conduct myself in
diferent environments."
