Deep Learning and Powerful Outcomes
Our purpose is to equip students to thrive in
whatever future they imagine for themselves and the
world. For that reason, we believe that transfer – the
application of one skill to a new situation, area of
study, or problem – is the most powerful outcome of
learning.We seek to develop core knowledge within
each discipline, as well as key skills that are relevant
across disciplines. We believe this happens when
students are challenged to drive their own learning
journey within a holistic program.
Teachers as Professionals
At Field, we believe that the intersection of best
practice and research is the sweet spot in
education. As an institution committed to
educational best practice, we seek to cultivate
curiosity and a growth mindset in our faculty in all
stages of their career. We want to support teachers
as “coaches” of student learning, as collaborators
working across disciplines, as 昀氀exible colleagues who

research and best practice. To support this, we
believe in active professional development,
cultivating purposefulness, and fostering a sense of
