Lucy Price, a graduate of Johns Hopkins
University, has had the career of a serial
entrepreneur. Starting as a lingerie designer, in the 80s, with her own brand, Garcon
Manque, she later segued into the hospitality industry when she and her brothers
developed the Auberge Saint-Antoine, a
luxury hotel, considered by many as the
best hotel in Canada. For more than 20
years, she used the experience of decorating the hotel as a springboard to work as
an interior decorator in Canada, the US
and in Europe.
More recently, she launched Kiki Price
with her friend Kiki Baltzell. Born out of
a passion for fashion, and the realization
that most footwear had a comfort problem, Kiki Price was created to solve as
elegantly as possible the problem of uncomfortable shoes.
A mother of three, grandmother of one
(perfect grandson), Lucy divides her time
between Austin, TX and Quebec City,
Canada where she is actively involved in
her communities’ philanthropic and cultural institutions.
Kimberly (Kiki) Baltzell is a PhD prepared scientist, nurse, and global health
researcher in infectious disease. While
this seems a departure from her first career as a stockbroker, she likes understanding how the world works, whether
that be money, the body, or the mind.
Kiki's love of science extends to all things
fashion, and the making of the perfect
item for form and function. When not
working in Liberia, Malawi, or Sierra
Leone, you will find Kiki on a hiking trail
or in a dance class. Her family includes
husband, John, three amazing daughters,
an assortment of grandchildren, and her
granddog Blue. Kiki lives in San Francisco in the beauty of nature, but travels to
Austin frequently to brainstorm and design with dear friend and shoe partner,
Lucy Price.
