Narragansett’s 15,000+ residents, along with visitors, enjoy ample
options for scouting popular points of interest; to name a few: Point
Judith Lighthouse and Coast Guard Station, The Narragansett
Towers, Casey Farm, and Block Island excursions.
Sailors will find the Point Judith Yacht Club in Wakefield small but
active. Saunderstown Yacht Club is set right on the water with the
sparkling Jamestown Bridge in eye’s sight. This family-oriented club
is great for young sailors who are just setting out. And Conanicut
Yacht Club, at Bryer Point in Jamestown, is a full-service yacht club
offering a wide range of sailing, racquets, and dining. It’s also a
popular place for weddings.
Golfers will find that they don’t have to travel far to find excellent
golf courses. The members only Point Judith Country Club enjoys

a 110-year history of beautifully maintained lush greens, while the
public Rose Hill Golf Club sports a 9-hole, par-3 golf course, and
has “multiple bent grass tee boxes for any skill.” Jamestown Golf
Course is a 9-hole public golf course established in 1901. Located in
Narragansett Bay, it offers an undulating links-inspired course and
generous driving areas.
Narragansett’s public school system is comprised of one high school,
middle school and elementary school. Additionally, there are copious
options for students of every age. Several private schools can be
found in the immediate area, such as Middlebridge School, which
provides instruction, opportunities, and support for students with
learning differences, as well as Meadowbrook Waldorf School, Prout
School, Monsignor Matthew F. Clarke Regional School, and others.
