MESSAGE FROM EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
ROBERT ELLIOTT, USMC
The Veteran’s Farm, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that holistically addresses the needs of
Veterans transitioning from active duty to civilian life while also providing a new breed of farmers for
America's future food necessities.
The Veteran’s Farm educates service members and Veterans of all eras on all aspects of agriculture.
They learn through on-farm models of sustainable livestock production and organic vegetable
production. Mentor-ship opportunities with both conventional & niche farms are also utilized for those
students with specialized interests. And too, we help existing farmers with consultation and equipment
usage to keep their debt low and their expansion potential high.
We are Farmer-Veterans ourselves and we understand the complex issues that come with the militaryto-civilian life transition. We provide Veterans with the tools they need to become heroes for a second
time by becoming farmers for tomorrow.
Our program has also documented an ancillary impact on our Veteran students: suicide prevention.
By connecting our students to physical & mental health resources and in helping them find a new
purpose for their lives, we have documented seven suicides prevented. We are currently formalizing the
mental wellness segment of our program to serve as a template for other organizations.
The Veteran's Farm humbly asks for your support of our first signature event: Boots on the Grange.
With funds raised by this event, we will grant one or more “full ride” scholarships to a local Veteran in
Northeastern North Carolina. Excess funds raised will be directed to the new Veteran’s Satellite Farm in
Perquimans County, slated to open Spring 2026.
In closing, we ask you to contribute any level of support that you can provide. In return, we will honor
our supporters through social media posts, t-shirts, banners, signage and event-day experiences.
Thank you for your consideration! We look forward to partnering with you while we advance our
Farmer-Veterans and American agriculture!
Semper Fidelis (U.S. Marine Corps motto for "Always Faithful”),
