Before joining Leveris, I spent 12+ years working in Retail
Banking for larger banks in Ireland, the UK and Australia. My
background is Product Management and I've managed
portfolios on both side of the balance sheet, particularly
deposits and mortgages. During my 7 years in Australia I would
also been involved in some large technology innovation
projects designed to enhance the digital customer experience
and core banking solutions.

When I moved home to Dublin 4 years ago, I noticed a twotier FS landscape here going at different speeds:
The first related to the large incumbent Retail banks and to
be honest they were miles behind in terms of their
technology and the customer experience, particularly
through digital channels. Understandably it had not been
their main focus and they are trying to catch up now, but I
do wonder if they've left a bit of a gap that lower barriers to
market entry and increased competition will fill. I read a
recent stat that Revolut has over 200,000 customers in
Ireland which clearly indicates to me the pent up demand
for decent digital banking experiences in Ireland.
