SCHEME METRICS
Over the past 2 years the Experts in Residence have supported
Oxford's innovative research community to address the
technical, commercial or regulatory challenges met during their
translational endeavours. Experts can review key components of
translational funding applications, providing detailed and valuable
feedback ahead of a submission.
Public funders may require teams applying for a translational
award to pitch their projects, delineating the business models,
market opportunities and unmet need the product or service is
addressing. Experts panels have supported pitch preparation, to
help formulate concepts in a convincing and credible way.
Ongoing translational programmes undergo ‘project surgeries’
with Experts to ensure projects have successful long term
translation strategies, identifying gaps to reach defined goals and
milestones.
The Entrepreneur and Experts in Residence have supported
departments and divisions to deliver masterclasses on
entrepreneurship, innovation, networking and translational
research. Sector-specific webinar series have been developed to
broaden knowledge amongst the research community in the
development, translation, and commercialisation of research.
