ANNOUNCING YOUR
ENGAGEMENT THIS
HOLIDAY SEASON!
Enjoy the moment, just the two of you.
If the question was popped on Christmas Morning
or maybe your Lover popped the question right
before you started popping champagne bottles on
NYE, make sure you take some time to yourselves.
You’ll get plenty of chances to announce to friends
and family so be sure to spend some quality time
to soak in your first moments as fiance’s!
Let your family and close friends know before
posting on Social Media.
If you have family interstate or overseas be sure to
FaceTime or send them a snap of your
engagement news before they find out by a status
change on Facebook. Sharing your news within
your inner circle is such a special moment full of
hugs and happy tears and for some, announcing it
to your family and friends is the most special part.
My suggestion is to be in the moment and post to
IG or Facebook status last, you will be flooded with
messages and calls and can often take away from
your celebration with your Lover. After the
outpouring of congratulations, be sure to post a
quick thank you to the well-wishers.
Embrace the element of surprise!
It’s the most magical time of the year for a reason!
Take advantage of the obvious gift-giving
opportunities or kiss-under-the-mistletoe
moments to create the ultimate engagement
surprise and holiday enchantment to your
proposal.
For a fun surprise when announcing your big
news, why not consider making a Christmas toast
to family and friends? Whilst you hold up a glass to
cheers, they’ll also notice a little sparkle on that
special finger! I speak from experience when
saying be prepared for some high-pitch squeals!

Not all engagements are just between two
people, so if you want to make your family
part of your special moment why not include
your little ones or furry friends to get
involved in announcing your engagement.
Recruiting your sibling or a family member
on the day is always a great idea!
The best part about letting someone in on the
secret is that you will have assistance in
planning for the ultimate set-up or to distract
your Lover when required, not to mention
you'll also have a dedicated photographer to
take some shots of the action as a nice
moment to share with loved ones.
