The Rare Books and Antiquarian
Collection, which consists of
rare and specialised material, including
African children’s literature and a foreedge painting collection.

includes historical and current
publications for Southern African

the information and workspace needs
of master’s and PhD postgraduates,
postdoctoral research fellows and
academic staff. It offers:

a seminar room for collaborative
work
a comfortable lounge
experienced library staff who can
help with information and arrange
consultations with subject specialists.
The Library Learning Lounge is a
bring-your-own-device, collaborative
learning space. The venue is wifi
enabled with plugpoints for electronic
devices. Study rooms are available for
group discussion and a library buddy
is on hand to help.
The Hlanganani 24/7 study area
offers comfortable after-hours working
space for 148 students with wifi access
and plugpoints for electronic devices.
It is open when the library closes in
the evening and on weekends, with
on-site security.
