P A T A G O N I A
The small port city of Puerto Natales is located
towards the southernmost area of Patagonia and
is the gateway to one of the most spectacular
national parks in the world, Torres del Paine
National Park.
An extraordinary experience awaits visitors, with
a landscape that varies from brilliantly blue lakes
to pristine glaciers and the dramatic granite
towers from which the park’s name is derived.
Explore the remarkable scenery on horseback,
kayak amongst sculpted icebergs, access more
di昀케cult terrain by 4x4 vehicles or take a guided
hiking tour. However you choose to discover this
mesmerising landscape, you’ll create memories
that’ll last a lifetime.
Puerto Varas, Chile
Shared by Chile and Argentina,
Patagonia is a vast territory spanning
the southern tip of South America and is
the nearest landmass to Antarctica.
Comprising spectacular glacier fjords, majestic
mountain ranges, ancient forests, arid grassland
and vast deserts, and bordered by both the Paci昀椀c
and Atlantic oceans, Patagonian landscapes
have remained relatively untouched for millions
of years. The result is a region brimming with
Sitting on the shores of Lake Llanquihue, Puerto
Varas, also known as the City of Roses, is widely
considered to be the most beautiful city in Chile.
The in昀氀uence of European settlers, mainly from
Germany and Austria, is evident in the surprising
yet quaint and characterful
architecture. European cuisine is

and cafés that tempt passers-by
with delicious pastries and sweet
treats, and you can also feast
on succulent seafood and
local meats.
wondrous wildlife and majestic, unspoilt scenery,
making it like no other place on earth.
The Los Lagos region and the
natural beauty that surrounds
the city is breathtaking. Climb
snow-capped volcanoes,
discover spectacular waterfalls,
experience the thrill of whitewater rafting along the Petrohué
River and hike quiet trails through
forest-clad mountains.
For longer days and milder weather, where you
can view natural wonders in their full splendour,
we recommend visiting during spring and
summer. With Patagonia being in the Southern
Hemisphere, this conveniently falls at the
opposite time of year to Europe and North
America, with September to March being the
optimum time to visit.
