Huge strides have been
made in narrowing the
gender pay gap and
more and more women
are on the boards of
FTSE 100 companies.
Many entrepreneurs are
women, some of whom
have families and
combine a successful
career with a job that
fulfils them.

We still have a long
way to go to achieve complete parity, whereby
women always earn the same as their male
counterparts, but as flexible working becomes the
norm, it is becoming possible for women to have
families, take care of ageing parents, and still have
a career.
While progress has been made, it’s still a fact that
many women, whether working or otherwise, are
not aware, or particularly comfortable, in making
investments in the stock market or ensuring that
they have sufficient pension savings, to have the
lifestyle they want when they retire. Women are
also less likely to opt for insurance outside of
home, car and travel basics.
Any major life event could spark the need for
advice. For many it’s hard to know the best course
of action to take and a major development in this
area is the increased number of qualified female
financial advisers. Many women prefer to talk to
another woman about their finances and while
male advisers are just as good, there is often an
automatic empathy with another woman, who
like you has a family and is working. She will
inherently understand the daily challenges you
have and be able to show you all of your options so
you can make the best financial decisions for your
future. http://lyndhurstfm.co.uk/focus-for-women/
