Connecting the Counties
Sharing Learning
Working collaboratively was an essential
factor for Libraries Live to work - sharing
knowledge, experience and ideas was
fundamental to the project.
We held sharing days where everyone
came together, including artists,
designer, film maker & photographer,
volunteers, evaluators, libraries staff
and project leads to challenge, inspire
and reflect as the project progressed.
All members joined a project Facebook
group to continue shared learning
between the three counties.
Making Connections
As a community managed library
seek out peers where you can share
learning and support and signpost
each other to useful resources.
This may see you use a closed
Facebook group or a Slack group to
chat to each other and keep up to
date. As you develop and plan your
own action research enquiries having
a space to keep all your thinking,
links to ideas and inspiration and
then your shared successes are really
useful.
Find what works best for you and
your team and invite advocates from
within your local authority or local
cultural partners. They can share
in the learning journey and find out
more about your library first hand.
Sharing and celebrating the learning
with your peers, advocates and wider
volunteer pool is just as important as
celebrating your journey with your
local community in public forums!
