Globular Vessel with Single Spout
Early Intermediate Period: 200 B.C. – 100 A.D.
Ceramic: Orangeware with resist paint
Overall: 6 5/8 x 6 1/2 x 10 in.(16.8 x 16.5 x 25.4 cm)
This globular bird-shaped vessel with long, pointy beak, bulbous
eyes and cone-shaped tail probably represents an aquatic species.
Aginst the cream background, the bird was enhanced with negative
resist decoration in black.
