STORY OF D&D
D&D was founded in 2006 by Des Gunewardena and David
Loewi (the eponymous D and D) following a buyout of Conran
Restaurants, which itself was established back in 1991.
The company was already central to London’s restaurant scene,
owning some of the capital’s most celebrated restaurants, such
as Le Pont de la Tour and City favourite Coq d’Argent.

organising a corporate party
or wedding, our philosophy
is simple. We aim to be the
best, and to deliver an enjoyable and memorable experience.
In order to do this we believe that each of our venues must
have its own personality. From iconic large restaurants like
Bluebird and Quaglino’s to smaller Michelin-starred venues like
Angler and Launceston Place, our managers and chefs enjoy
independence in how they run their businesses. We believe
this shows. And, whether you are from London, elsewhere in
the UK, or from overseas, we hope you enjoy our restaurants
