Out and about
with our Rangers
Dartmoor Rangers are kept busy all year
round, looking after Dartmoor’s special
places and speaking with locals and
visitors every day.
If you’re out on the moor, you may see them.
They help look after 450 miles of public rights
of way, repair gates and stiles, build new
bridges, carry out restoration work on ancient
monuments and get involved with our Ranger
Ralph children’s club and Junior Rangers –
more on page 43.
