SOPHIE KATSARAVA MBE
HER EXCELLENCY MS SOPHIE KATSARAVA MBE has been Georgia’s
Ambassador accredited to the Court of St James’s since April 2020. Prior
to this appointment she had been a member of Georgia’s Parliament since
2016, and Chair of her country’s Foreign Relations Committee. She was
awarded an MBE by Her Majesty for her contribution to strengthening
bilateral relations between the UK and Georgia.
HIS EXCELLENCY SAID RUSTAMOV has been Uzbekistan’s Ambassador
accredited to the Court of St James’s since October 2019. Prior this assignment,
he served as Uzbekistan’s Ambassador in Israel and as Deputy Chief of
Mission in Uzbekistan’s Embassy in Washington DC.
RT HON CLAIRE PERRY O’NEILL was UK Minister for Climate Change and
Energy from 2017-19. She brought forward the UK’s ground-breaking Net
Zero legislation and led its winning bid to host COP26. Claire is now Managing
Director at the World Business Council for Sustainable Development.

THE RT HON STEPHEN DORRELL served as a Member of Parliament for
36 years holding ministerial positions in both the Thatcher and Major
governments. A former Secretary of State for Health, Stephen has served
as both Chair of the Health Select Committee and Chair of the NHS
Confederation. Stephen is a lifelong liberal conservative and the present
Chair of the European Movement. His business interests include chairing
LaingBuisson, Public Policy Projects, Dorson Group and The Network
Group. Stephen is a trustee of Place2Be.

SIR BERNARD JENKIN MP has been in office since 1992 and was elected
Chairman of the Public Administration Committee in May 2010. A former
Shadow Defence Secretary (2001-03), he still writes extensively on defence
matters. He is currently Chairman of the All-Party Parliamentary Group
on Homeland Security and also a member of the Executive of the 1922
Committee of Backbench Conservative MPs.
MARTIN HOWARD CB FRSA deals with Cyber, NATO Policy and Strategy for
Universal Defence and Security Solutions (UDSS). Having retired from public
service in 2016, Martin’s last two postings in government were as Director
for Cyber Policy and International Relations at GCHQ. He previously served
as Assistant Secretary General for Operations in NATO, dealing with the
alliance’s missions in Afghanistan, the Balkans, Libya, Iraq and on counterpiracy; as Director General Operational Policy in the Ministry of Defence;
and as Deputy Chief of Defence Intelligence. He also worked in the Northern
Ireland Office as Private Secretary to the Secretary of State and as part of
the UK team that helped negotiate the Good Friday Agreement.
DESMOND CECIL CMG was a professional violinist/oboist in Switzerland
in his youth. He then joined HM Diplomatic Service (1970–95), serving
the next 25 years in embassies abroad, and was appointed CMG by The
Queen. He took early retirement to work as an international political/
funding advisor for the UK and then the French state nuclear energy
industries, with extensive experience of nuclear environmental clean-up in
Russia after the dismantling of the Soviet Union.
CHARLES CRAWFORD CMG served in HM Diplomatic Service from 19792007. His career focused on former communist Europe, with ambassadorial
postings in Sarajevo, Belgrade and Warsaw. He is now a freelance
mediator, writer and consultant based near Oxford. He is a member of the
