sorts of roles are on offer- you can even sign up for job alerts
Connect with them on LinkedIn and thank them for the
DEVELOP YOUR SKILLS
Use the pages ‘Hard Facts About Soft Skills’ to begin
developing your skills set.
Keep a note on how you achieve these skills and examples of
when you used them successfully so you can give these in
STAND OUT FROM THE CROWD
Use this time wisely - explore the different ideas on the WYD
page to show you have been proactive during this time.
Always research the companies or employers you are
connecting with as this shows you have invested time in the
opportunity that may arise.
Consider creating a list of well thought out questions you
want to ask potential employers.
Ask a family member or friend to give you feedback on things
like your CV, application forms or even run a mock interview
ACE A VIRTUAL INTERVIEW
Let your household know you have an interview so that
hopefully you won’t be interrupted.
Make sure your technology works in advance.
Don’t worry if you feel nervous or get flustered- the employer
understands just how difficult the current situation is.
Dress to impress- even for virtual interviews.
Make sure that your camera is angled so that you are directly
in front of it, much like a passport photo.
Be confident and communicate well.
