Tailor-make your own
multi-centre holiday
A multi-centre holiday combines two or more destinations in one trip, and
is a great way to experience Italy’s diversity. With the country’s superb rail
network and a range of internal flights (both of which we can arrange and
book for you), creating your dream multi-centre trip has never been easier.
Take a look at some of our favourite multi-centre combinations below or call
our Italy Experts to create your own bespoke itinerary.
Rome & Sorrento
This popular multi-centre itinerary covers two of the most well known locations in Italy and is perfect
for first time visitors. Spend a few days in the magnificent capital, home to an overwhelming collection
of historic sights, like the Spanish Steps, St Peter's Basilica and the epic Colosseum. Follow this up with a
stay in Sorrento, a beautiful jumble of pastel-shaded buildings flowing down the hillside to the sea and the
perfect base for visiting the jewels of the Amalfi Coast.
Verona & Lake Garda
Verona is the setting of Shakespeare's greatest love story Romeo and Juliet, and provides a wonderful
blend of inspirational architecture, sacred art and world-renowned gastronomy. The next part of the trip
is Lake Garda, stretching between the Alps and the Dolomites. Italy’s largest lake showcases a diverse
landscape, ranging from low-lying countryside on its southern borders to forest-clad peaks in the north.
During your stay, enjoy the peaceful lake vistas and hop along the lake’s edge to the many pictureperfect towns, such as Sirmione, with its narrow lanes and thermal springs, and Malcesine, known as the
'botanical garden of Europe'.
Venice, Florence & Rome
Tick off the big three with the ultimate Italian city break. Make Venice your first port of call; travel along
palazzo-edged canals on a gondola, marvel at the golden mosaics of St Mark’s Basilica, and perhaps take
a boat out to the islands. Then travel by train to Florence, where you can spend a couple of days admiring
artworks and sipping on Tuscan reds. Another short train journey will land you in Rome for a final few
days of sightseeing. Tour the Colosseum, Roman Forum and Pantheon, and be sure to throw a coin in the
Trevi Fountain.
