HONG KONG
SUPPER 2019
On 18th February 2019, a record turnout
of OFs, seating twenty around one large
table, had a wonderful supper at the Hong
Kong Club.
Special thanks go to Ian Howard (S57-62),
who again facilitated our having access to
this splendid venue. Happily we were able
to include David Copeman (K42-49) and
his wife Ann, on a stop-over on their world
cruise aboard the ‘Queen Mary 2’.
Hong Kong supper
The evening began with drinks at 7:30pm
in ‘The China Room’ of the Club, where
stories abounded about good times had at
the College – coming from all the different
age groups present. We continued our
popular tradition of each person signing
every menu – quite a logistical task with
so many people present. David Copeman
kindly made a fine speech, following on
from Moira, and he was succeeded by the
youngest OF present, Tze-Hoi Tsang before
we tucked into a delicious meal.
It was such an enjoyable evening. I have
read that “Education is something that
cannot be taken away from you”. We thank
Fram and those who enabled us to go to
the College. My belief is that it is not just
recognising the gift of our education and
character as things we have in common but
that our reunions and friendships are so
important and will continue to be so.
My thanks go to John Ting (G02-09) who
now takes over the role of organising the
HK OF Annual Suppers. We look forward
to the next!
MOIRA THEULIER (M91-93)
*This is with thanks too, to Chris Essex
(taking fantastic care of the OF Overseas
Bag) who helped to put David Copeman
in touch, and who always gives wonderful
support in helping us with these suppers.
He is behind every effort abroad.

SOF ANNUAL

The 2019 Society of Old Framlinghamians
Annual Dinner was held at Framlingham

this was Paul’s last attendance at an annual
dinner before his retirement in July (see
page 2). Paul and Amanda were presented
gifts to mark the occasion by John Ellerby.
In his response, Paul Taylor spoke warmly
of the close and positive relationship that
Framlingham College enjoys with the
