DINNERS & SUPPERS
SOF Suffolk Supper - Left to Right: Stephanie Askew, June Fuller, Hugo Corrie,
Ruth Elwood, Tim Gough, Colin Wigg, Roger Askew, Michael Fuller.
Paul with a group of young OFs at The Annual Dinner
For all this, Paul, this Society owes you a
debt of gratitude which I cannot adequately
express. On behalf of the Society and its
members, here tonight and elsewhere
across the globe…thank you.
Paul Taylor receiving his leaving gift
from the SOF at The Annual Dinner
and keep the common touch, you will be
a man my son.” Man you surely are - but I
think Kipling meant something more than
that. ‘A man who lives his life according to
his sense of what is right.’
For the Society this is not just a chance to
honour a retiring head. It is our chance
to say thank you to a Head who has done
so much for us, for all of us who love
Framlingham, all of us who have eaten
in this hall. You have forged new and
enduring ties binding the College and
the SOF together. I don’t just mean your
visionary act whereby the College assumed
the funding of our operating costs. I mean
that because of you, we the Society now
feel we are true partners in the growth of
the College - as it spreads its reach even
further.

NEWMARKET
SUPPER 2019
On the 10th May 2019 a very good turnout of 28 OFs and guests at the revivified
Newmarket supper in the sumptuous
surroundings of the Bedford Lodge
Hotel. They were greatly entertained by
speeches from President Simon Dougherty
and Framlingham College Prep School
Headmaster Matt King, before the guest
star Stephen Mynard addressed the
audience on the serious topic of Brexit,
achieving high scores for being both
thought-provoking and amusing, the
latter mostly at the expense of the gallant
organiser Ian Fulcher. Praise to the Fulcher
family and unanimous votes for a re-run
next year at the same venue.
Those present were:
Ian Fulcher (G70-77), Sally Fulcher,
Natalie Fulcher (M07-13), Annie
Fulcher (V10-16), Chris Bellamy
