29th June 2019. A funeral service was held
on 25th September for family and close
friends at The Church of St Peter & St Paul
in Wangford.
Dominic’s sister Gabby wrote:
“After leaving the college in 2011, Dom
travelled and worked in Australia for a year
before returning home to see the family.
During that time, Dom was hit by a car
which left him with life-threatening injuries
that put a hold on his return to Australia.
A few years later he went back across the
world to New Zealand where, among many
other achievements, he spent several weeks
on an Accelerated Free Fall programme to
become a qualified solo skydiver.
Dom had an enormous focus on our family
and wanted the best for us always, without
question he provided me with tuition fees
for my time studying at the University of San
Francisco.
Dominic was an incredibly thoughtful and
generous young man, who cared greatly
for so many. Although he sadly experienced
a lot of difficulties and bullying through
most of his life, which impacted on his
self-confidence and mental health, it never
stopped him from seeing the best in others.
Dom will be an ineffable loss in our lives.”
