On Saturday mornings at The Prep School
children can get involved in a myriad of
different fun, exciting and often challenging
activities. Over the last two years sessions
have grown and developed, and we now
have circa 60 – 70 children from Years 1-6
who regularly attend.
Aspire masterclasses this year have been
run by both The Prep School and College
staff and have covered topics such as
politics, marketing, Boudicca, fun fair
probability, circus skills & poetry. Parents
have volunteered and children have
churned butter, sampled cheeses, Spanish
omelettes, toasted sunflower seeds, danced
the flamenco and enjoyed debating

Brandeston Sewing Bee with pupils making
patchwork quilts and cushion covers.

The Portfolio club of talented Year 6 artists
have covered such things as green man
pottery clay faces, mosaic papier mache
birds, held a photo studio session at the
Senior School, canvas landscape paintings,
animation & screen printing.
Football and netball are on offer too led by qualified coaches – with children
learning new drills, developing their
teambuilding and match play skills all in a
fun and inclusive environment.
Outdoors we now run two types of Forest
School. Young explorers arrive in the
morning to discover the ‘outback’, build
dens, learn about fauna/flora and spot
various birds that nest in and around the
school. Senior Forest schoolers have also
