EQUESTRIAN
THE AUTUMN TERM SAW THE
RIDING TEAM RIDE AT THEIR
VERY BEST, WITH WINS AND
INDIVIDUAL PLACINGS.
The team won the 80cm and gained second
place in the 90cm Eventer Challenge at
Keysoe, Bedfordshire. The team of Jas and
Amelia Slater, Hettie Meadows and Lillie
Uthwatt-Bouverie all rode with style and
confidence. Both teams qualified for the
finals at Hickstead as a result with Hettie
Meadows winning the 80cm event.
In the Summer Term, the team attended
the National Final Eventer Challenge at
Hickstead in the 85cm. The course was a
big track and varied with water jumps and
drops to test the horse and rider’s agility.
Lillie rode a fabulous clear round but
unfortunately the team ended up unplaced
on this occasion.
Finally, we are sad to lose Dulcie Wade,
Jasmine Slater and Rose Winter who, over
the last few years, have had superb results
for the team. Jas and Dulcie also competed
for the school at the prestigious Windsor
Horse Show in 2017. We also continue to
be extremely grateful for the efforts of Paula
Slater, who looks after all things equestrian.
