It has been another fantastically busy year
in the boarding house at The Prep School.
Aside from our regular activities in the
evenings such as firm favourites – indoor
football, jewellery making and just chilling
out - boarders enjoyed Outdoor Movie
Night, Lego Making and Harry Potter Nights,
puppet making, treasure hunts, water polo
and footgolf. In the Summer Term, we
enjoyed a trip to the new bouldering wall in
Ipswich, the amazing race MK II and the now
brilliantly popular Boarders’ BBQ. It was
great to celebrate the Boarders’ Christmas
Dinner with our regular boarders as the hall
was beautifully decorated and great food
enjoyed followed by a disco with DJ Dazzle.

As I write this in the last year as Head of
Boarding, I want to say a huge thank you
to all the boarding staff who I have worked
with for their patience, hard work and
dedication to boarding. A particular thank
you to the hard-working GAP students and
to our leaving staff - Ana Odiz who moves
on to Wycliffe Prep and to Miss Wognum, Mr
Means and Mrs Drury who step away from
working in the boarding house.
To the boarders - thank you! I have enjoyed
getting to know you over the last three
years. My successor, Claire Bridges, starts
in September and I know how keen she is
to develop the independence that boarding
brings.
