a win for Pembroke in both. Our House
Dance was described as “the best the
judges had ever seen”.
It isn’t always about ‘the competition
win’ for the girls though, it’s about the
community we build and the sense of
belonging that we foster. The girls kept in
touch with each other during lockdowns
and isolations via weekly online House
Events, through Strava competitions (yes,
OK, we also won that one!), through
stories via our Pembroke Families and
through receiving postcards reaffirming
their connection to their friends and
teachers. “Together Apart” continued to
be a key phrase for us this year and the
way the girls shone through some quite
difficult times was inspirational.
At the end of the year, we said many
goodbyes to pupils and to staff members
but all of whom leave with our fondest
wishes and a little bit of Pembroke spirit
within them forever.
